Awareness

  • Respect the land and the landholder – if there are any issues contact your West Gippsland Catchment Management Authority (WGCMA) Project Coordinator, as soon as possible.
  • Understand the project you are working on and why the works are being implemented.  Catchment Management can involve many different types of actions and practices depending on the specific site.

Vehicle Hygiene

  • Ensure that the impacts of your work on water quality are minimised and sediment control practices are in place.
  • Vehicle hygiene and maintenance is a priority.  Clean equipment – do not transport mud, dirt, weeds and potential pathogens between properties.

Native Vegetation

  • Do not remove or destroy native vegetation without approval.
