Rivers connect landscapes, rivers connect people…
Our organisation was established by the state government in 1997 to manage land and water resources in the West Gippsland region.
The West Gippsland region covers over 17,500 square kilometres from near Warragul, to San Remo, Wilsons Promontory, Lakes Entrance and to Mount Howitt, past Licola.
We take our role seriously and our aim as a leader in natural resource management is to inspire partnerships and action to achieve improved catchment health, by working with communities, industries and government agencies.
Our vision – A healthy catchment, valued and cared for by the community, that underpins the environmental, social, cultural and economic wealth of the region.
